Bobby was a staunch supporter of higher education. He exuded positive energy to every single student he came in contact with. A shining example of how education can benefit anyone form anywhere. He was never boostful of all he accomplished in his life, rather he made a personal committment to himself to serve his community and encourage strudents to pursue their post secondary education. We are all better individuals, because we were so lucky to know such a great man! He did what noone has ever done before, he brought the community of El Monte together with a spirit that will never ever be matched.
On a more personal level, Bobby renewed my interest and commmittment to be the best I can be and to never ever forget that every word, every motion, and every act impacts the students we serve. We need to give 110% every day!
I am on board with whatever it takes to make sure that Bobby’s legacy is fulfilled. He is counting on all of us to help fulfill his dream!

Bobby…Bobby…Bobby…. An extraordinary individual who has taken education, family and friendship to the next level. For I have been so blessed to have been touched by this angel who we only had for such a short period of time….has given me the strength, courage & wisdom to be the women I am today. I can go on and on for days on how Bobby has been inspirational not only to myself but to my “FAMILY” . Those encouraging talks, jokes and maybe just a friend to lean on when you are in need. In all being said, for this I owe whatever its takes to make sure that The ToVar Family gives back to The Salcedo Memorial Scholarship Fund…Bobby’s Legacy will definitely live on in our Family. His dreams will live through The Tovars
In Closing my heart, thoughts and prayers go out to The Salcedo Family Daily….May God bless, guide and give them strength and know that they are one Beautiful Family our community is blessed to have.

I’m going to make this short. Bobby believes in Higher Ed. for all. Make no excuses. One way or another, you can ALL get your college degree!
